Yay for the new kitchen sink

The new kitchen sink is about all I have to blog about! Our current one cracked (yay for manufactured homes and cheapo fixtures) and now we have a nice new shiny stainless steel one off of ebay and matt's cousin is coming over tomorrow to help him put it in.

In other news, thanks to my mom, I found this WAY cool new place to do pre-made dinners when you don't have time to cook. All fresh. My mom has tried it and loves it. Anyone interested in going with me? Check it out below:

Dream Dinners

Just the thought of having 12 ready-to-go dinners on those days when I need them most just sounds FABULOUS!

alrighty...I'm out...oh and congrats to the Deales on the birth of their baby boy! Woohoo! Can't wait to meet you tomorrow, little one!!

this was my dress when I was her size...wow

13 Days and COUNTING!!!

Yahoo! Yippee-ki-yay! We leave for vacation in just 13 days!! My goal is to finish 1st grade with Gabe before we leave, but it is so hard when he has found an inner passion to want to learn to ride his bike. I'm even finding myself saying, let's go ride bikes!! Walruses and rainforests and math review can wait!!! Pedaling outside in the sunshine (which the sunshine in itslef is just a plain miracle) vs. sitting inside talking about how many babies a sea turtle can lay in one sitting....you know it's just not a hard choice! But, I am determined to finish this year strong, so we plod along and ANXIOUSLY await vacation! Update on the flower girl dress for Zoe...it has been airmailed from the Ukraine and is supposed to arrive by May 4th...it's cutting it a little bit close!

weekend news

What a week we have had! A great week, a tiring week, a fun week...

Gabe school report: unless we get a definite "no" from the Lord over the weekend, we will be enrolling Gabe into Livingston Christian School for 2nd grade in the fall. Matt and I went and met with the principal yesterday and we were impressed and excited with all that it seems that LCS will be able to offer Gabe. We met his prospective teacher who is really super nice. What a change this will be for all of us but we are feeling so confident that this is the next step God has for Gabe in education.

Grammy report: Grammy (my mom) has been here since Thursday visiting and we have had a blast!! The kids just LOVE playing with her and it has been such a treat to have her here. It will be sad to have her go home on Tuesday, but we will see her in three weeks for Aaron's wedding which leads to...

Vacation report: Matt and I (by divine leading we are convinced) found the most amazing place to stay while we are in Branson before the wedding. It is this condo resort area...2 bed, 2 bath with whirlpool, kitchen, washer, dryer, the works....all for $75 a night! It is a Christian owned and operated place and it is RIGHT on beautiful Tablerock lake. (which is the big tourist lake around there). Also only 2 miles from silver dollar city. Amazing. God is good...vacation here we come!!!!!!

Gotta go get the kids out of the bath, then get to go see a movie with my mom! Later!

Taken with Gabe's new camera...see next post...

Grammy is coming to town!

Yay! Woohoo! Horray! These are the sounds we are hearing around our house today. Grammy gets to come to visit!! So we the parents clean like crazy and they, the children, dance around joyously. :-)

In other news, Gabe has FINALLY shed the potty seat...hallelujah! It has been a long time coming. In exchange for an all in one digital camera, video camera and webcam (under $20 at walmart!) he decided he was a big enough boy to go all by himself and not use the potty seat. Go Gabe!!! Pictures taken by our aspiring photographer will be forthcoming...

Vacation resolved!

Thank you all for all your kind suggestions and well wishings on our vacation dilemma! I am very happy to report that we have a place to go for vacation!!! WOOHOO! Turns out that we are going to leave early for my brother's wedding in May and spend 3-4 days close to where the wedding is going to be in Branson, Missouri. We will get to go to Silver Dollar City (amusement park) and just hang out and have fun! Thank you, Jesus, for giving us a vacation!!! :-)

Update on the dresses for the wedding: still waiting, still nervous!

Vacation-shmation

*sigh* vacations are so hard to plan last minute! We are trying so hard to get away because we NEED to get away for more than one night and the amount of complications to do so are just...what is a word that means bigger than ginormous? Here's to hoping that something works out!

Oh my goodness!! It's Ty Pennington in Matt's office...oh, wait...

I'm currently watching my children and Adalai being mesmerized with the show Boobah. I am not a huge fan of Boobah, but in this particular scene, Grandmama and Grandpapa and Mr. Man and Mrs. Lady and two other no-named people are jumping around in these huge socks (the size like you would use for a sack race) that squeak and they are on the ocean. Something about jumping around in big squeaky socks on the beach just actually sounds fun right now.

Tuesdays with Amy

I am really attempting to blog at least once a week if not more! Two biggest blogging-blockers currently would be A) time and B) something to blog about! So here are my ramblings for the day. The kids are still getting over their illnesses, and I am thankful that it is not worse than it is. Zoe has had a fever on and off since Friday, so if it hasn't disappeared by Thusday I will need to take her in. It's so sad because the weather is SO nice but they just aren't feeling up to playing. Yesterday when we went to Kensington, they just kinda stood there at the top of the play structure letting the wind blow their hair. You know, if nothing else, the sunshine and fresh air was a good thing!! So here's to hoping we can enjoy some more nice weather today!!!!

On the next random note, there are only 38 more days until my brother's wedding. (yikes!) Currently I am waiting for my dress to be shipped to Michigan and I would be lying if I said I wasn't worried!! Will it get here in time? Will it be close to the right size? Then if that weren't stressful enough, I am waiting on Zoe's dress to be shipped from the Ukraine!! In some bizarre turn of events, my sister-in-law found these great dresses for the flower girls on ebay, so at least they will be cheap (see previous post about stress being cheap...haha), but will it get here in time?? You know, I am just glad they are having a ceremony. And Gabe's tux is free and Matt found a great suit for a good price. The only other stressor is the weight factor. In a perfect world I would have been working out on the gazelle and the ab lounge like a mad woman for the last two months. But I haven't. And now with the time nearing I am starting to lose hope. Any suggestions on how you can keep up a workout routine after you have had an insane and tiring day are welcome!! Coming soon is going to be the Amy Maiberger weightloss blog. I am scared to death to do it, but something about admitting the truth and showing it gives a boost to really start and go for it.

Ramblings done, laundry and lunchtime start now. Later!
